Birds Workgroup

The Birds Workgroup informs the WRMP on a range of topics and decisions related to avian surveys, methods, data, and analysis.

Fish and Fish Habitat Workgroup

The WRMP Fish & Fish Habitat Workgroup informs the WRMP on fish & fish habitat monitoring methods, data management, and analysis. Activities of the Workgroup include a review of existing monitoring efforts/datasets on fish & fish habitat in the lower Estuary and development of WRMP Guidelines for Monitoring Fish & Fish Habitat (2023). Workgroup meetings are held on an as-needed basis to further refine fish & fish habitat monitoring of the WRMP.

People & Wetlands Workgroup

The People & Wetlands Workgroup is responsible for further developing the human dimensions of the WRMP, with an emphasis on centering the perspectives of marginalized communities and considering ways to incorporate new forms and sources of knowledge into the WRMP. See the full workgroup charge here.

Activities of the workgroup include:

  • Development of new and revised management questions about human connections to wetlands (June 2023)
  • Identification of monitoring questions and indicators that address Management Questions 5B, 5C, and 5D (December 2023)
  • Development of standard operating procedures for data collection, analysis, and visualization to address the identified indicators (in progress)
